History
Ictus started out life in September 2000 as three school friends who shared the same dream. Within weeks of the inception Ictus were a huge hit on the unsigned scene in their home town of Leicester and began building a huge and loyal fan base, playing across the country in some of the most prestigious venues and at some of the biggest festivals. In 2006 Ictus released their first album "Punk Rock For Girls" (Rude Boy Music) which caught the eye of the media all over the country appearing in national newspapers, and selected fanzines. The single "On and On again" was a major hit in the Extraplay unsigned charts and the video appeared on music video channels.
Later on in that year the label went into liquidation which left Ictus having to start right back from square one as regards to promotion and the reputation. Ictus went back into writing to create a new brand and a new feel to the band to signify a new start. Ictus recruited a new drummer in Andy Winfield which let Adam Rousseau express his natural talent for crowd interaction. Ictus recorded five of the newly written songs as a preview and put them on the new mini album "Handmade & Homegrown" Already Ictus have caught the eye of the media with this release and the press campain will be starting soon which will see Ictus hit every major publication, radio station, and TV channel in the UK aswell as more press currently being achieved in the USA!
